Hanging On II (Silver & Gold, Left & Right Facing) is the sequel to Hanging On (not currently available, but soon to return!). Hanging On and Hanging On II are all about Cormorants hanging on to the branches of this gnarly old tree, but the meaning is much deeper!   

Cormorants have such an fascinating and ancient history.  Fishermen regard Cormorants to be good luck charms as seeing one ensures them a plentiful catch. Cormorants, through the years have been seen as symbols of family ties, bonding, and nurturing.  So my inclusion of cormorants in 6 pictures in The Bigger Picture series for me is a symbolically very positive.  

Again, like others in The Bigger Picture series, I created the Hanging On mini series in 2022, after we had frankly had all had enough of all the global events.  We were all, by then hanging on one way or another!  Hanging on for good news, hanging on, awaiting relief and release.  In Hanging On I show one bird.  In Hanging On II, two birds come into play, more company, more community, more collaboration, all developments that evolved during those rocky times.  As a cheeky aside, were you advised during that time to invest in gold and silver?  There was a lot of chat on this subject.   I therefore bring you Hanging On II Silver (printed on silver coloured brushed aluminium and Hanging On II Gold (printed on gold coloured brushed aluminium).  We must retain a sense of humour!

They come without hanging hardware on the back, so that you can lay them down on a flat table surface, stack them, store them, (use them as drinks or place mats, etc.).

Samples provide very useful tools for planning, for colour checking, showing to clients, creating schemes, to fully appreciate the quality, style and texture of this extraordinary aluminium print.
