I found this shiny, silvery fella in deep water in the Bay of Biscay when I was looking over the side of the ship we were sailing on back to the UK after our first long spell living away from our grown-up family, which happened to coincide with the global events of 2020 and 2021 throwing a spanner into the works for us all too.  We were in the port of Santander in northern Spain.  I too was in deep water!  We had been forced by the circumstances to be away for too long.  It was a difficult time.  We were thankfully now able to be on our way back to be reunited.  

I chose to create a very strong edit on this photograph.  The emotions surrounding the moment I captured this image were strong.  We needed to be strong.  There were ripples in our family peace, like the waves and ripples in the water and I wanted to accentuate these.  There is darkness and light in this picture.  The combination of the waves and the ripples in the water as printed direct onto textured aluminium, produces an extraordinary effect - texture and sublime light reflection. It catches the light differently at different times of the day.  I love this picture - the colours, the ripples, the silkiness.  The green!  Green can represent new beginnings and growth. It also signifies renewal and abundance. Green has many of the same calming attributes of blue and also incorporates some energy.

In Deep Water is available both pointing to the right and or pointing to the left. The two make a stunning and eye catching pair and fill a space in true style!
