Born in 1968 in England, Katha’s fascination with light and the natural world started when she was a child, lying on the grass, looking up through the moving leaves and branches of the trees above her, at the sky, moving clouds and light playing with shapes and shadows.  She would capture these on film with her childhood camera. 

Little did she know then that this deep-rooted fascination would re-emerge later in her life.

Her adult life, spent in business, and as a mother of 3 daughters, a horsewoman and a Solution Focussed Life Performance Therapist, in 2018, whilst living on a farm in the glorious landscape of the rural Cotswolds, she found herself out exercising with her daughter, appreciating the daily changing views from their elevated position on the back of horses.  She announced to her daughter that she wanted to capture this beauty around them and create photographic art, windows to the beauty of the natural world for homes around the world. 

Now, a self-taught digital photographer, Katha discovered her passion for her own unique style of editing, making her photography look more like a painting than a photograph.  She has developed her practice to produce ethereal, emotive sometimes otherworldly fine art photography printed with ink directly onto brushed aluminium, which she has chosen for its playful, light attracting qualities, which when combined with her painterly post production style, results in something truly fascinating to lose yourself within.
