One of my earliest pieces in THE BIGGER PICTURE COLLECTION, IN DEEP WATER - I love this piece. Whether it is printed small like this one: 30cm x 30cm or OVERSIZED: any size up to 140 cm x 140 cm framed and delivered to your door, it is very eye catching. This is digital photography at its best. The image is printed directly onto aluminium, the ink dropping directly onto metal. Nothing in between the ink and the metal. The net effect of this is that in the areas that there was a lot of light or white in the original file, there is no data in the print, which means that the metal shines through at those points. This has multiple advantages. It adds a third dimension to the art piece. Adding depth and something rather magical. It also means that the piece reacts to the light in the space that it is hanging. Either reacting to natural light coming through a window or artificial light, wherever that is coming from, even down a passage, it can pick the light up and reflect it back. I call it living art! See for yourself. Seeing it is believing it.
You can see it for yourself next week, from 21st February 2025 to Sunday 23rd February in London at Parallax Art Fair in Chelsea Town Hall, London SW3. Message me if you would like to attend. I can help with entry.
