Katha Wood To Exhibit At Manchester Art Fair This November 15-17
- The Largest & Most Significant Art Fair in The North -
North Norfolk and London based, emerging Fine Art Photographer, Katha Wood is to exhibit at this year's Manchester Art Fair (November 15-17), having been chosen to follow a rigorous selection process.
Katha will join over 170 UK and international individual artists, galleries and artist-led spaces showing the works of some of the world’s most exciting up-and-coming and celebrated artists including Andy Warhol, David Hockney, Damien Hirst, Tracey Emin, Salvador Dali, Francis Bacon, Grayson Perry, and Banksy.
Exhibiting for the first time here, Katha will showcase an extensive range of pieces from THE BIGGER PICTURE COLLECTION, alongside select works from her new MOON COLLECTION.
Katha said: “I am very excited to have been selected for Manchester Art Fair and very grateful to them for having me. This will be a chance to reach a brand-new audience with my work and I am excited to be showing at such a prestigious fair. I am planning to showcase large format Limited Edition pieces from THE BIGGER PICTURE COLLECTION, including my signature piece CONTEMPLATION. Taking the viewer through and artistic journey which most definitely transcends the ordinary.
Each piece in the collection has a story behind it, capturing the essence of some of the experiences I personally, but most of us in our own ways faced through the challenging and unprecedented era between 2020 and 2023. These stories reflect some of the experience we may all have encountered, sometimes offering relief and the opportunity for reflection, a deeper connection to the art.”
What stands Katha apart from other Fine Art Photographers is her printing process. Each artwork in her collection is printed directly onto a textured aluminum, transforming it into an extraordinary canvas that attracts and plays with the light, adding depth and mystery to each of her pieces.
Managing Director of Manchester Art Fair, Sophie Helm, added: "The quality and number of applications received for this year’s Fair was extremely high, making for an exceptionally difficult selection process. We are delighted to welcome Katha Wood to Manchester Art Fair 2024 as we return with our most inclusive and impactful edition to date. We look forward to welcoming visitors to the Fair this November.”
The North’s largest and most significant art fair, Manchester Art Fair has welcomed over 110,000 visitors since its inception in 2008, amassing over £7m in art sales.

About Katha Wood Photographic Art
Katha Wood is a British fine art and photographic artist, known for her innovative approach to visual storytelling. Currently based in North Norfolk, she also maintains ties with London, where she frequently works.
Wood's creative journey began in the scenic region of Andalucia, Spain, which deeply influenced her debut collection, The Bigger Picture. This collection, spanning 2020 to 2023, mainly showcases landscapes, skies, and wildlife printed on brushed aluminium, creating a unique interplay of light and texture. Her work often focuses on capturing natural beauty, with a slightly surreal and otherworldly touch, reflecting her personal experiences during challenging times.
Additionally, Katha Wood is a qualified Solution Focused Hypnotherapist, which influences the therapeutic and uplifting nature of her art. Her choice of brushed aluminium as a medium helps her images to reflect light in dynamic ways, giving them a three-dimensional, living quality.
Katha's mastery with her art lies in removing the mundane from her photographic canvas, allowing the metal to shine through, creating an unparalleled play of light and depth. Silk-like textures and captivating reflections oscillate throughout the day, ensuring each piece is a living entity, catching your eye with its unique character. Her work, bold, creative, and delightfully unconventional, invites you to experience art in a new light—one that transforms not just spaces but emotions. Welcome to Katha's world, where art is not just observed but felt.
