Capturing a shift in perspective, ON THE BEACH unveils a departure from my usual sea-facing lens as I turn towards the land, immersing myself in the textures, shades, and gradients in tone of the coastal landscape. This photograph invites you to gaze upward, where the vast sky, textured clouds, and a glimpse of familiar foliage provide a grounding contrast, offering a profound sense of perspective against the vastness of the oceans. Or is it about looking inward at times, rather than always outwards.
Printed on aluminium, this piece comes to life, with the bare metal shining through unprinted areas, enhancing textures from the water's edge to the expansive sky, celebrating the play of light and nature.
